RHINOPLASTY
Watercolour on paper, 30 × 40 cm, 2023
In Rhinoplasty, Aphrodite’s broken nose becomes the site of contemporary aesthetic correction. A fragment shaped by time and history is reinterpreted as an imperfection—something to be repaired, refined, and made to conform.
The work questions a culture in which even the goddess of beauty would not be considered beautiful enough. If youth and perfection must be continuously preserved, corrected, and reconstructed, the ideal itself becomes impossible to attain.
